Swedish badminton duo Moa and Tilda Sj\u00f6\u00f6 \u2014 whom Lawyer.se is a proud sponsor of \u2014 have gotten off to an incredible start this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, the sisters won the Swedish Open in January, and less than two weeks later, they took home the gold medal in the Swedish Championship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt feels great. Winning these two competitions in particular was special,\u201d Moa said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Swedish Open victory came against stiff competition. The Sj\u00f6\u00f6 sisters found themselves down late in the first set but managed to swing momentum back in their favor and win it, 22\u201320. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s easy to get away from your game plan and start focusing on other things in a situation like that,\u201d Moa said. \u201cA lot of it is just about continuing to play fearless.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt felt like even though we were down, we stuck to the plan,\u201d Tilda added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, when they fell behind again in the second set, the comeback in the first provided reassurance and a boost in confidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another boost: the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe atmosphere was incredible. That definitely gives you some extra energy,\u201d Tilda explained, her sister adding, \u201cThere were chants and cheers \u2014 a lot more than we\u2019re used to, but that really just made it fun.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming in as favorites to the Swedish Championship provided other challenges for the sisters. If they wanted to go far this time, managing expectations and pressure would be just as important as playing well on the court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And they did all of it. After a challenging round-1 win to shake off some of the nerves, Tilda and Moa just got better and better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And no better than in the final. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe had a very clear plan for what we needed to focus on, and we stuck to it,\u201d noted Tilda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe played the game in a way that works well for us, slowing it down and being patient, which they weren\u2019t as comfortable with. That tactic really paid off,\u201d Moa added.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the first Swedish Championship the sisters have won together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next up is the European Championship in April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur goal is to reach the quarterfinals. If you get there, that\u2019s when you really start playing for medals,\u201d Moa said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
